This notice describes the privacy policy of EdgeWave, Inc.  (“EdgeWave”, “us”, we”, or “our”) and is intended to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of and any subdomains related thereto (collectively, this “Website”). EdgeWave takes your privacy and the security of your information very seriously, and we encourage you to read this privacy policy carefully to understand how we collect and handle your information.   This policy describes the type of information our Website collects from you, and the steps we have taken to protect that information.


When you register with us through the Website, for example to request an online product demonstration, to register for an online webcast or inquire about our products and services then we will ask you for personally identifiable information such as your name, company name, phone number, email address, your state, country, position, industry or title. We use this information mainly to fulfill your requests for information about us or our products, and to contact you about our products or services.

We may also use your information to send you newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such communications from us, please follow the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of the communications or update your “user preferences” information. EdgeWave has partnered with select analytics partners (“Analytics Partners”) to collect information about how our website is used.  Our Analytics Partners may collect information about how many times you visit our Website, what you visit when you explore our Website, and what parts of our Website you access.


When you visit our Website, our servers record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website, such as your computer’s internet protocol address, browser type, pages on our Website that you visit, how much time you spent on our Website, information you searched on our Website, and other statistical information.  We aggregate, analyze and evaluate this information to improve the quality of our Website, and to give you access to more relevant information.


Cookies are used on the Website. They are text files with information on the use of the Website (visited Web pages, number of visits, time of visits, duration on individual pages, the browser used, the operating system used, etc.). Cookies can be of a lasting nature – meaning they remain until they are deleted – or temporary, in which case they are deleted, for example when a session ends. As purely text files, cookies do not intervene in your computer’s system, but only influence the presentation of content of the Website you visit. The cookies allow our site to recognize your browser and to track your preferences and usage on the Site. In no case is personal information stored in the cookies. If you would like to waive the advantages of cookies and opt out of the analysis of user behavior, you can delete existing cookies from your browser and block future cookies by means of your browser settings. Beacons are small graphic files with a unique identifier that are used to track a web or mobile site user’s online movements.   Unlike cookies, beacons are embedded on Websites, not downloaded on your computer or device.   EdgeWave uses beacons to better manage content on our Website.

As we discussed above, EdgeWave works with our Analytics Partners to improve the quality of our Website, and to give you access to more relevant information.  Our Analytics Partners may use session and persistent cookies, tracking beacons or other monitoring technologies.


When you visit our Website, we don’t currently collect the name of the website you visited from (called the “referring page”) and the name of the website you chose to visit immediately after ours (called the “exit page”), and information about other websites you have recently visited. However, we may decide to do so in the future to improve our Website, but we will not be use the information to identify you from any information we receive from cookies.  Also, EdgeWave may decide not to honor the “Do Not Track” settings available on most browsers so that when EdgeWave’s Website detects the Do Not Track signal from your browser, it may still collect referring and exit page information and other information when you visit our Website.


If you choose to post comments on our blogs, then we will see your name, website and the content of your comments. Providing comments on our blog is voluntary and we strongly recommend that you guard your anonymity and sensitive information.


We may share aggregated information that includes your  information, and log data with third parties for industry analysis and demographic profiling and to deliver targeted advertising about other products and services. We may share your information with our business partners and channel partners so that they can provide you with information you have requested on a product or service or to pass a sales lead to a channel partner. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Website, to provide services associated with the Website on our behalf, to perform Website-related services (e.g., without limitation, maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of the Website’s features) or to assist us in analyzing how our Website is used. EdgeWave’s Analytics Partners help us improve the quality of our site, and improve the relevance and frequency of advertisements you receive.   We have carefully selected each of our Analytics Partners, and are confident they take your privacy as seriously as we do.

Our Analytics Partners use a variety of techniques to collect de-identified, non-personal information about your visit to our Website.  These techniques are discussed above, and may include session and persistent cookies, web-beacons, and other tracking technologies.

In order to make sure you understand how our Analytics Partners handle your information and how they interact with our site, app, or services, we’ve listed each of our Analytics Partners below, explained what they do, and shared hyperlinks to their Terms of Use.   You should visit these pages, as EdgeWave has no ability to control or monitor our Analytics Partners’ data collection or data use practices.


We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of EdgeWave, Inc., or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical or otherwise in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).


We may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy.


We seek to ensure that your information and preferences are accurate and complete and you have the right to change your information and/or preferences at any time. Please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third-parties will not be able to defeat our security, and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your personal information.


Your information may be transferred to—and maintained on—computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, then we transfer Personal Information to the United States and processes it there. Our Website may contain links to other websites. If you choose to click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s website. The fact that we link to a website is not an endorsement, authorization or representation of our affiliation with that third party, nor is it an endorsement of their privacy or information security policies or practices. Other sites follow different rules regarding the use or disclosure of the personal information you submit to them. This Site is not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our files.
