We are actively seeking motivated and energetic professionals for an outstanding ground floor opportunity to break into the rewarding world of enterprise software sales. This entry-level position will provide you the opportunity to develop your own career path and monthly earnings through your hard work and performance.
This person will be responsible for engaging EdgeWave prospects in sales opportunities by originating, managing and qualifying sales leads created from various marketing programs and individual prospecting efforts. He/She will be expected to interact with high level IT executives in a strategic and consultative manner. Performance will be scored based on several factors, however the primary goal will focus on building sales pipeline. He /She will be responsible and accountable for achieving assigned monthly performance goals, as well as supporting the team's performance goals. In addition, this person will be able to react quickly to changes to existing sales and marketing plans and/or new initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop new business sales opportunities through prospecting activities including contact discovery, prospecting and lead qualification activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal team members within sales, marketing and the channel in order to facilitate effective communication and collaboration to support the company's business and growth objectives
- Understand and participate in the sales and lead management processes
- Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of EdgeWave products and technologies, competitive products and industry
- Accountable for meeting assigned personal and team goals & objectives; continual review of key performance metrics with management to identify ways to increase results
- Additional duties as assigned
Experience and Requirements:
- BS/BA degree preferred
- Candidates with 1+ years in a customer service role or inside sales role with moderate to heavy phone interaction with customers preferred
- Strong prospecting and closing skills, exceptional listening, problem-solving and time management is critical
- Ability to react positively and effectively in a high pressure environment; accountability for performance goals & objectives
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and able to work well individually and within a team atmosphere
- Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word, MS Office, Excel & PowerPoint; experience with SalesForce.com is a plus
