Based in San Diego, California, EdgeWave markets its solutions through a network of value added resellers, ISPs and MSPs, distributors, system integrators, OEM partners and directly to end users.
This is an insides sales position that manages and grows an assigned territory for EdgeWave products. This role interacts with customers across virtually all-vertical markets including leading sectors like education, SMB & government.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate revenue within a defined geographic territory.
- Work closely with the Channel Manager(s) in the territory as well as directly with resellers on specified accounts.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls and perform account management activities for new business acquisition.
- Execute vertical, cross selling and cold calling campaigns within assigned territory.
- Consult with prospects on EdgeWave's products.
- Provide technical assistance to prospects during the product evaluation phase, including coordination with Technical Support and Sales Engineers.
- Create custom cost proposals.
- Maintain sales database records.
- Process sales orders with weekly individual account review.
- Prepare sales forecasts.
- Other duties as required.
Experience and Requirements:
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience required; networking knowledge and Cisco training a plus.
- 3-5 years sales experience preferably in a software or high tech environment.
- Strong interpersonal phone skills essential.
- Possess a "hunter" mentality with proven track record of establishing new sales.
- Ability to sell to high level decision makers and technical influencers.
- Strong work ethic and desire to over achieve.
- Previous experience developing and closing opportunities directly and through channel distribution.
- Occasional travel required within a territory and to industry trade shows.
- Must have excellent computer skills, including MS Office suite, Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
