How do I increase the logging level of my Domain Controller?

For a Windows 2000/2003 Domain controller:

1. Open Administrative Tools > Domain Controller Security Policy

2. Navigate to Local Policies > Audit Policy

3. Edit the Audit Policies listed below and for each of them click on the Failure checkboxes to enable them.

   • Audit account logon events

   • Audit directory service access

   • Audit logon events

   • Audit object access
